Mount Hyades<\/b> (coordinates: 54\u00b047’39″S 68\u00b027’20″W, altitude approximately 1300 m above sea level) was named by Captain Martial in honour of the French doctor Paul Hyades, who was the doctor on the expedition of the ship Romanche, which between 1882 and 1883 explored the lands and channels south of the Strait of Magellan, as far as Cape Horn. During this expedition, Dr. Hyades took the opportunity, among other things, to study the Yaghan population.

El Monte Hyades<\/b> (coordenadas: 54\u00b047’39″S 68\u00b027’20″W, altitud aproximada 1300 msnm) fue bautizado por el capit\u00e1n Martial en honor al doctor franc\u00e9s Paul Hyades, quien fue el m\u00e9dico de la expedici\u00f3n del nav\u00edo Romanche, que entre 1882 y 1883 explor\u00f3 las tierras y canales al sur del estrecho de Magallanes, hasta el cabo de Hornos. Durante esa expedici\u00f3n el doctor Hyades aprovech\u00f3, entre otras cosas, de estudiar a la poblaci\u00f3n de yaganes.<\/p>\n
