Designed for comfortable regional intercity travel, it operates at a maximum service speed of <b>165 km\/h<\/b>, with acceleration and ride quality optimized for Korea\u2019s main conventional lines.<\/p>\n<p>Replacing the older Saemaeul-ho coaches hauled by locomotives like the Class 8200, the 210000 series provides faster, smoother, and more energy-efficient service. Each 6-car set (configured with distributed traction) features air suspension, full passenger HVAC, onboard Wi-Fi, and ergonomically arranged seating with 2+2 configuration. Cars include restrooms, luggage racks, and designated accessibility spaces, following Korail\u2019s universal design standards.<\/p>\n<p>Powered by asynchronous AC traction motors with regenerative braking, the 210000 is equipped with onboard ATP safety systems and automatic couplers for flexible formation.
