The original fossil (RSM P2523.8) was discovered in Saskatchewan, Canada, and dates back over <b>66 million years<\/b>. Restored over three decades and unveiled in 2019, Scotty is the <b>largest known T. rex ever found<\/b>, estimated to have weighed around 9 tons and measured 13 meters in length. The name \u201cScotty\u201d was inspired by a bottle of scotch opened in celebration by the excavation team after the discovery. Despite its masculine name, skeletal features suggest the individual may have been female.
