The Glaucous-blue Grosbeak (Cyanoloxia glaucocaerulea), also known as the Indigo Grosbeak, is a passerine bird in the family Cardinalidae, endemic to South America. Its distribution is primarily in Argentina, Southern Brazil, and Uruguay.<\/p>\n

This species exhibits marked sexual dimorphism. The adult male sports an intense bright blue plumage, while the female is a uniform cinnamon-brown color.<\/p>\n

The specimen in the photograph, with its cinnamon-brown coloration and vestiges of blue on the forehead and cheek, is identified as a juvenile male in transition towards its adult coloring.<\/b><\/p>\n
